Wash & Clay Bar
The first step in correcting a vehicles finish is removing all surface contaminants. This starts with a thorough wash process, drying of the vehicle and then moving to the clay bar. The clay bar decontamination process is important, as when you move to the next stages of buffing and polishing to prevent contaminants from being ground into your car possibly permanently damaging your vehicle’s paint.
Protection
This step involves applying a layer of over the clear-coat to protect against UV damage and other environmental contamination. The protection we use is a water based polysiloxane sealant of protection we offer are either a polymer-based synthetic sealant which lasts longer than typical wax and gives a deeper, glass-like shine. These forms of protection will outperform, outlast, and outshine any wax on the market. Wax is a thing of the past. Ceramic and Quartz coatings form a molecular bond to the surface, adding a durable hard-layer above your vehicle's clear-coat providing anti-corrosion, anti-graffiti, anti-static, hydrophobic, scratch-resistant, and self-cleaning properties to ensure your vehicle will stay looking its best. Although coatings are expensive and time consuming to apply, they provide the best value for protecting your investment.
Buffing and Polishing
The paint correction process is the actual polishing of the vehicle. Factors such as the type of clear coat or single stage paint and the severity of imperfections will determine the polisher, combination of pads, and polish. Depending on the level of structral damage, several stages polish may be required to achieve full correction.
Sometimes buffing and polishing isn’t enough to remove imperfections such as deep scratches or orange peel. To remove these imperfections a correction technique known as “wet sanding” or “leveling” is necessaryemployed prior to buffing and polishing. On older cars with a Clear Coat or Single-Stage paint, it's important to gauge the thickness of the coating to prevent damage to the existing surface.
